Valentine’s Day means a lot of different things to people – cheesy Hallmark cards, flowers, chocolates, feeling alone, feeling loved. In our opinion, it’s important to remember love every day of the year, though we know sometimes it’s nice to have a holiday inspired by it. In the end, the most important expression of love is the love we show ourselves.
Be good to yourself this Valentine’s Day!
- Get yourself something nice. Don’t break the bank, but think of something you’ve wanted for a while and have been putting off. Treat yourself!
- Have a nice meal. If you have the time, plan an excellent meal featuring all of your favorite things. Cook from scratch and enjoy. Maybe you can have some friends over to help and throw a dinner party!
- Wear something that makes you feel awesome. Pick an outfit you love that makes you look like a million bucks and wear it all day.
- Pamper yourself. Give yourself a home facial, do your nails, or take an extra-long bath. If you want to splurge, have a massage.
- Treat your body well. If you’re feeling down or dealing with PMS, take some Happy Girl to balance your body and boost your energy. You’ll feel joyous and full of life in no time!
The only person you’ll be with for your entire life is yourself. Loving yourself is a huge step on the path toward total self-fulfillment and happiness. This year when you’re reminding everyone else of how much they mean to you, don’t forget to say “I love you” to the person in the mirror.
